Life on campus

One of the things that make Ben- Gurion University unique and attractive to students from all over Israel and the world is the student's social life here. Some call it "the bubble", but in fact, the university, the strong students union and the students themselves are running a very rich, diverse and vibrant community with activities, volunteering programs, social integration and events of all sorts.

Every now and then, especially beginning and end of each semester there is a colorful street market on campus, including cloths stands, jewelry, presents and other stuff. The big bars from the city operate little bars on the lawns, and different companies like banks and cellular operators offer special deals for the students.

There is a little cinema working in the evenings, showing new movies as well as old classics. Tickets are cheap, and so is the popcorn and hotdogs.

Green campus is a week dedicated to the environment, and social activism week to different programs, scholarship, and organizations which work to make the world just a little better place.

Students union runs every once in a while all kinds of events- big screenings of important sports games, sing along-and-beer nights, and "Tuesday's culture night" is a weekly visit by some of the best  artists and performers in Israel who perform in front of the students for free.  The cherry on top of the cream is Student's Day- an amazing 2 days of fun for the student, towards the end of the year.
