Dear prospective student,

Due to reorganization in Ben Gurion University's International Students Unit, Mapmes will not be accepting new students in the coming academic year of 2012-13. We hope the programs will resume next year and that we will be able to accept you to one of our M.A. programs.

Application package should contain:

1. Main Application Form

2. A statement describing your academic and career objectives. Your statement is an important part of your application. It should be clear, concise, and well-crafted. Limit your statement to 750 words or less.

3. Two Academic Recommendations. The recommendation forms and recommendation letters should be written by people best qualified to address your academic goals and capacity for graduate work. They should be sent in envelopes signed and sealed by the recommenders. Forms that will not be accompanied by recommendation LETTERS will not be considered.

4. Applications must hold a Bachelors degree. Official (Original) Transcripts from all institutions attended.

5. A ten-to-fifteen page sample of written work.

6. The Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) is required of any student whose native language is not English, regardless of whether or not you have attended an English-language institution.

7. A non-refundable fee of $135 payable to Ben-Gurion University must accompany your application. Checks from outside the U.S. must be drawn in the country currency equivalent to $135 (Euro or other).

10.Social security Number (Only for American applicants that apply for Federal Loans).

11. Three passport sized photos.

12. Photocopy of Israeli ID first page (for Israeli citizens only)

Application deadline:

MAPMES awards a limited number of merit-based scholarships to students who have been accepted to the program. Students who send their applications by April 1st are automatically considered for such scholarships.

When possible we strongly recommend applicants to send their applications by April 1st to be considered for scholarships.

 Incomplete applications will not be considered.
